Jim joined CrossFit110 in 2013. Prior to joining CrossFit, Jim played Division  1 Hockey at Brown University. Jim’s athletic passion is hockey and he previously was a member of the Massachusetts Hockey Player Development Committee. Jim also coached Ireland’s national ice hockey team in the 2008 World Championships in Romania.  However, like many of us, life got busy and his athletic pursuits took a back seat. After the passing of his best friend in 2013 at age 48 from a heart attack, Jim pledged to make his health a priority.

Jim was referred to CrossFit110 and was immediately impressed by the professional coaching staff and facility. The constant variety of workouts kept him excited to come to the gym every day. As a former athlete, he found the competitive atmosphere very appealing.  In the beginning, Jim was encouraged to start slow to ensure safe yet effective progress.

Today, Jim is 50lbs lighter and feels better than ever. CrossFit110 has helped Jim become stronger and motivated him to explore levels of fitness that he had never been able to achieve before. Within a year, Jim decided that he wanted to be more involved with CrossFit110 and became a partner. Outside of his role at CrossFit110, Jim is consistently recognized as one of America’s Top Financial Advisors by Barron’s year-over-year.

Jim continues to enjoy classes at CrossFit110 and he recently completed his first Boston Marathon!
